Type 7
No Retainer

1944 New York DAV Tag This is an example of the Type 7 DAV (Disabled American Veteran) keychain license plate.
Type 8
Wide Retainer
(1943-1944)
1943 California DAV Tag This is an example of the Type 8 DAV (Disabled American Veteran) keychain license plate.
Type 9

1944 New York Border Style DAV Tag The Type 9 DAV tag has a distinctive black ribbed plastic border.
Type 10

1946 Michigan DAV Tag
This is an example of the Type 10 DAV keychain license plate.
Type 11

1947 Indiana DAV Tag
This is an example of the Type 11 DAV keychain license plate. Type 11 and type 12 are almost identical. The difference is when the keychain hole is facing left there is a molded groove in the plastic housing on the upper left for a type 11 and it is in the lower left on the type 12.

PHOTO NOT AVAILABLE The Type 13 DAV tag is a long plastic bodied tag. It would look similar to a stretched version of the Style 10 tag. This tag is only known to have been issued in Michigan.
